Based upon Hitachi's current line of award-winning 19" monitors that received Editor's Choice from CNET, Imaging Magazine's 1998 Impact Award and many other awards, the new 753 provides even higher performance, suitable for the most demanding professionals. The SuperScan TM 753 provides a rock solid, flicker-free refresh rate of 85 Hz at its maximum resolution of 1600 x1200, yielding flicker-free images that reduce eyestrain and decrease viewer fatigue. With an auto synchronization range of 31-107 kHz, the new 753 is designed to take full advantage of the new 107 kHz standard on-board video cards included in most new computers.

Entering the market with an MSRP of $679.00 the SuperScanTM 753 will be positioned as the new high-end product of Hitachi's award-winning 19-inch (18" viewable) monitor family. Hitachi will continue to sell the current 19" line of monitors, the SuperScan 751 & 752, with the 752 transitioning to an exclusively retail product. Featuring Hitachi's proprietary PrecisionFocusTM technology with a multi-step dynamic focus gun, the 753 provides a super-fine dot pitch of 0.22mm horizontal and 0.14mm vertical that form one of the crispest, brightest images available today. Utilizing advanced flat-square Invar shadow mask technology, Hitachi's design reduces both the horizontal and vertical dot pitches to one of the lowest in the industry. The result is crisper, clearer images - even at the corners and edges.

The SuperScanTM 753 features five language selections and Hitachi's EasyMenuTM on-screen controls with adjustments for color temperature, degauss, moiré, trapezoid, pincushion and more. This monitor also is user and environmentally friendly with features such as ergonomic design, AG/AS coating for reduced glare, Windows '98 compatibility as well as Windows '95 Plug & Play.
